Transfixed
Transfixed is a beautiful, very inclusive product exploring the sensuality of transsexuals by pairing them with cis women. Thanks to the great mind of Director Bree Mills the series is rife with references from history, literature, film and pop culture, and is shot in a visual storytelling style.
Most of the episodes were shot with a heavier focus on a visual narrative. Similar to music videos, where a story unfolds. Rather than being deeply dialogue driven, the storyline unfolded using rich visuals and allowed the power of femininity to speak for itself.
This project was truly an inspiration to my creative development, opening a new world of thought and imaginative vision. Once again, working alongside Bree, I used my creativity to help bring her vision to life. Furthermore, being trusted to write some of the pieces gave me a sense of confidence that enabled me to expand my imagination to another level. It was a privilege to work alongside a variety of empowering women and create some truly magical stories.
